Pennsauken Man Charged in 2-Year-Old’s Beating Death

A 24-year-old Pennsauken man has been arrested on first-degree murder charges in the beating death of his girlfriend’s two-year-old son.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office, Zachary Tricoche is being held in the Camden County Jail awaiting arraignment Tuesday afternoon.

Police responded to the child’s home in the 5900 block of Mansion Boulevard around 11:30 on Saturday night for an emergency medical call. The toddler was evacuated to Cooper University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:08 a.m. Sunday, August 21.

According to Uniform Crime Reporting Data published by the New Jersey State Police, the case marks the first homicide in the township since 2013.

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
