A Burlington County man has been charged in the deaths of two Collingswood women and the attempted murder of a third.

Forty-four-year-old Mark Lyczak is alleged to have stabbed to death sisters Colleen Brownell, 48, and Alysia McCloskey, 41. According to friends of the women, Lyczak was Brownell’s estranged ex.

Lyczak also allegedly attempted to kill a third victim, a 45-year-old woman who remains hospitalized.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO), Collingswood Police arrived at a home in the 100 block of East Narberth Terrace around 5 p.m. in response to screaming. Authorities said Lyczak was still on scene when police arrived, “was known to the victims,” and was arrested immediately.

He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder,
and was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
