An Afternoon in Venice!
Save the date for the exciting second lecture in The Haddon Fortnightly Author Lecture Series on Sunday April 29th at 4 pm at The Haddon Fortnightly Clubhouse. If you love Venice, this is a not to be missed event!
We will be treated to a visit by Marie Ohanesian Nardin, author of “Beneath the Lion’s Wings” about an American who meets and falls in love with a gondolier in Venice. Marie is the wife of gondolier Roberto Nardin, and will come from their home in Venice to discuss the novel. The love-at-first-sight meeting in the book is based on their real life story.
There will be cicchetti (Italian appetizers) provided by the outstanding caterer Foodwerx, and a Prosecco cocktail that is the favorite of the gondoliers. Perhaps even a surprise virtual visit with those gentlemen, as well as a book signing by the author.
The books are hardcover editions, and will be made available through Julie of Inkwood Books. Prices are:
Admission only: $20
Admission for one person, plus book: $40
Admission for one couple, plus one copy of book: $55
Admission includes book talk, post-talk reception, and one cocktail per person. The author will sign books.
