“An Introduction to Honey Bees and Beekeeping” will be presented by Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Camden County on Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 8:30 am until noon. An introduction to the unique biology of the honey bee, how they organize their hive, make their honey and what beekeepers do in concert with them will be given. A fully assembled hive and beekeepers’ equipment will be available to examine.
This workshop will be held at the Camden County Environmental Center, 1301 Park Blvd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 (for GPS directions use Camden County Parks Environmental Center). Sign-in at 8:00am with the class starting promptly at 8:30 am until 12:00. Pre-registration is required. Workshop fee is $10.
