Perkins Center for the Arts invites the public to its Photography 37 Winners Exhibition and opening reception at its Collingswood campus at 30 Irvin Avenue on March 9, 2019 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Photography exhibition series exemplifies the best and most innovative work by photographers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond; this event is held annually and named sequentially. Photography 37 exhibition was held in February 2018, and three exhibitors were identified as Curators Award winners at that time; these winners are rewarded with a full gallery show, the Photography 37 Winners Exhibition, to open with a public reception on its first evening. Juror for this 2018 exhibition was Hope Proper, renowned collector and former Curator of Exhibitions and Founder of Perkins Center’s Photography Exhibition. Peter Barberie, Curator of Photographs for The Philadelphia Museum of Art, makes a selection from each Photography show for the museum’s permanent collection.
On display for Photography 37 are collections by winners John Clarke of Pennington, NJ, Annarita Gentile of Philadelphia, PA and Aubrey J. Kauffman of Ewing, NJ.
Art collectors and the public are invited to attend and enjoy the reception. Pieces displayed are available for acquisition. The exhibit will remain open to the public for enjoyment and acquisition from March 9 through April 13 during Collingswood gallery operating hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
