Pennsauken police are investigating a pair of incidents in which homes in the township have been struck by gunfire.
Around 8 p.m. May 12, Pennsauken Police were called to the 2100 block of Merchantville Avenue for a report of multiple gunshots, Chief Phil Olivo said.
Detectives processed the scene and determined a residence in the neighborhood had been hit.
Interviews were conducted, but police haven’t yet identified a suspect.
Investigators were already working a case from last week, in which Olivo said a home and a vehicle in the 2400 block of 49th street were also shot.
No injuries were reported in either shooting.
The chief said authorities don’t know whether both cases are related. Neither did he believe anyone specific has been targeted.
“We’re actively investigating both of these shootings,” Olivo said. “There’s nothing to indicate that anyone in town is in danger.”
His advice to neighbors: if you see anything suspicious, call 9-1-1 immediately. Don’t confront strangers.
