A 55-year-old Pennsauken man has been charged in the robbery-by-note of the Westfield Avenue Santander Bank on July 26.
On Saturday, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced charges against William Tomlin in the case.
Tomlin is alleged to have entered the bank in the 5700 block of Westfield Avenue around 4:40 p.m. Friday, July 26.
Police said he then allegedly presented the teller with a note demanding money, was given an undisclosed amount of cash, and then fled the scene. No one was physically injured in the incident.
Tomlin was charged with second-degree robbery, and was remanded to the Camden County Jail pending a pretrial hearing.
All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless and until found guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
