A 62-year-old Pennsauken man who was convicted in March of possessing and maintaining child pornography has been sentenced to seven years in New Jersey state prison.
In addition to that sentence, Edward Brogan is also subject to the full penalties of Megan’s Law and lifetime parole supervision, according to a statement released by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).
On July 28, 2017, police executed a search warrant at Brogan’s Doral Avenue home, where child pornography was found on his laptop. Brogan admitted that he had downloaded the files. At trial, CCPO Assistant Prosecutor Keith Carmy showed how Brogan had used peer-to-peer file-sharing software to download them.
On March 19, a jury found Brogan guilty after about 20 minutes of deliberation, the CCPO noted.
