No new local deaths from the virus have been announced since Thursday. Officials urged residents to stay at home over the holiday weekend.

Camden County officials announced another 80 cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Sunday, bringing the local total to 1,255 positive cases and 29 related deaths.
In a statement, Camden County Freeholder-Director Lou Cappelli said that local communities are “doing a yeoman’s job staying at home and following all of the mitigation guidance, and it is making a significant impact limiting the spread [of the virus].
“Federal officials have begun to signal that the next week will be critical in our fight to slow the spread, but it will also be one of the most difficult periods we experience as we navigate this crisis,” Cappelli said.
“We can minimize the burden placed on our hospitals and first responders if we take every precaution to avoid spreading and contracting this virus,” he said. “Stay home, minimize trips outside, and per the CDC’s guidance, wear a face covering when in public to avoid spreading the virus to others.”
Statewide, the virus has sickened 58,151 people and contributed to the deaths of 1,932.
The new local cases are:
- two Bellmawr men in their 40s and 50s
- 11 Camden City women, four in their 40s, two each in their 20s, 30s, and 50s, and one in her 80s; and five men, two in their 40s and one each in their teens, 20s, and 60s
- eight Cherry Hill women, two each in their 20s, 70s, and 80s, one in her 60s, and one girl; and seven men, three in their 60s, two in their 70s, and one each in his 40s and 80s
- two Chesilhurst women in their 20s and 60s
- a Clementon man in his 30s
- two Gloucester City women in their 50s and 70s
- five Gloucester Township women, two in their 50s and one each in her 20s, 30s, and 40s; and four men, one each in his 20s, 30s, 50s, and 70s
- a Laurel Springs man in his 20s
- a Lawnside woman in her 80s
- two Lindenwold women in their 50s, and one each in her 30s, 40s, and 70s; and three men in their 20s, 50s, and 60s
- a Merchantville woman in her 50s
- two Oaklyn women in their 50s and 70s
- six Pennsauken man, three in their 50s, two in their 60s, and one in his 70s; and four women, one each in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s
- a Pine Hill woman in her 30s
- a Stratford man in his 50s
- five Voorhees women, three in their 80s, and one each in her 50s and 70s
- three Winslow Township men, two in their 20s and one in his 30s; and two women, one each in her 30s and 40s
- a Woodlynne woman in her 40s and man in his 20s
