Another two Camden County residents have perished from complications related to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 116 more have tested positive for the virus, bringing the local total to 2,943 confirmed cases in Camden County and 125 related deaths.
The two latest to perish during the pandemic are two Voorhees men, one each in his 70s and 90s, the Camden County government reported Tuesday.
Throughout New Jersey, 113,856 people have tested positive for the virus and 6,442 have succumbed to COVID-19-related complications.
“Our state remains under a stay-at-home order because we have not yet beaten this virus,” said Camden County Freeholder-Director Lou Cappelli in a statement. “We must continue to stay home and social-distance. That is the only way we break the back of this virus and save lives.”
Of the total number of confirmed cases, 764 of 2,943 confirmed cases (26 percent) and 103 of 125 fatalities (82 percent) are connected to 27 out of 56 Camden County long-term care facilities.
The newest local cases are:
- three Bellmawr women, one each in her 30s, 40s, and 80s; and a man in his 80s
- a Berlin woman in her 40s
- 20 Camden City women, seven in their 60s, four in their 80s, three each in their 30s and 40s, two in their 50s, and one in her 70s; and 15 men, four in their 60s, three each in their 30s and 50s, two each in their 70s and 80s, and one in his 20s
- 23 Cherry Hill women, six each in their 50s and 60s, four in their 70s, three each in their 80s and 90s, and one in her 40s; and seven men, three in their 80s, and two each in their 60s and 70s
- a Clementon man in his 50s
- two Collingswood women, one each in her 40s and 80s; and a man in his 80s
- a Gloucester City woman in her 60s
- six Gloucester Township women, two in their 30s, and one each in her 20s, 40s, and 60s, and a teenaged girl; and three men, two in their 20s, and one of unknown age
- a Haddon Township man in his 30s
- a Lawnside man in his 50s
- two Lindenwold women, one in her 30s, and one teenaged girl
- seven Pennsauken women, two each in their 40s and 50s, and one each in her 30s, 60s, and 70s; and four men, one each in his 20s, 30s, 50s, and 80s
- a Pine Hill man in his 30s, and woman in her 70s
- a Somerdale woman in her 50s
- a Stratford woman in her 50s, and man in his 80s
- two Voorhees Township women, one each in her 20s and 90s; and two men, one each in his 20s and 40s
- five Winslow women, two in their 20s, and one each in her 30s, 40s, and 50s; and two men, one each in his 30s and 70s
- a Woodlynne man in his 40s
The Camden County and New Jersey Health Departments are working to facilitate trace investigations into all cases.
