The local death toll has hit 197, with 76 percent (144) deaths associated with a long-term care facility. The latest victims of the pandemic hail from six different Camden County municipalities.

Eight more Camden County residents have died from complications related to novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Camden County government reported Wednesday, bringing the local death toll to 197 during the pandemic.
The deceased were among 308 more New Jerseyans to have lost their lives to COVID-19-related causes, as the statewide total climbed to 8,549 deaths.
The deceased were:
- an Audubon man in his 80s
- a Barrington man in his 70s
- a Camden City man in his 70s
- two Cherry Hill men, one each in his 60s and 70s
- a Pennsauken woman in her 70s
- a Winslow Township woman in her 70s
- a man in his 80s of unknown residence
Of the 3,707 local cases, 877 have originated in a Camden County long-term care (LTC) facility, or 24 percent. LTCs are believed to be associated with 144 of 189 total local deaths, or 76 percent.
“We are sending our sincerest condolences to the families who have lost a loved one, and we are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers tonight as we mourn the nearly 200 in our community that have succumbed to this disease,” said Freeholder-Director Lou Cappelli in a statement.
Another 78 Camden County residents also tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the local total to 3,629 cases.
The newest local cases are:
- a Barrington woman in her 50s and man in his 70s
- three Bellmawr women, one each in her 40s, 50s, and 60s
- a Brooklawn woman in her 40s
- seven Camden City women, two each in their 30s and 70s, one each in her 20s and 50s, one of unknown age, and three teenaged girls; and 10 men, four in their 20s, two each in their 50s and 60s, one in his 30s, and one of unknown age
- four Cherry Hill men, two in their 80s and one each in his 50s and 60s; and two women, one each in her 50s and 60s
- a Chesilhurst man in his 30s
- two Clementon men, one each in his 20s and 30s
- a Gloucester City man in his 40s and a teenaged boy
- five Gloucester Township women, one each in her 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s, and a teenaged girl; and two men, one each in his 20s and 40s
- three Lindenwold men, two in their 40s and one in his 50s; and one woman in her 50s
- two Pine Hill women, one each in her 20s and 60s; and two men, one each in his 20s and 30s
- six Pennsauken women, one each in her 20s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 80s, and 90s; and three men, two in their 30s and one in his 50s
- two Voorhees men, one each in his 30s and 60s; and one woman in her 90s
- three Waterford Township women, one each in her 20s, 40s, and 50s; and a man in his 60s
- four Winslow Township women, two in their 50, one in her 20s, one of unknown age, and a teenaged girl; and three men, two in their 30s, one in his 20s, and a teenaged boy
The Camden County and New Jersey Health Departments are working to facilitate trace investigations into all cases.
