Police are looking for leads in the fatal shooting of a Woodlynne man who was killed at a Camden gas station Monday evening.

Forty-five-year-old Michael Milton was fatally shot inside his car just before midnight Monday night, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO) reported Tuesday.

Witnesses had reported hearing a loud noise sometime before 11:30 p.m., and Milton was discovered in his vehicle some 30 minutes later, the CCPO said.

Officers responded to a service station in the 1000 block of Kaighn Avenue, but before they could get there, the victim was driven to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call CCPO Det. Andy McNeil (856-225-8407), Camden County Metro Det. Sean Miller (609-706-6590), or to email ccpotips@ccprosecutor.org.
