A Haddonfield man and his Philadelphian son have both been arrested in connection with the April 26 robbery of a Voorhees bank.
Forty-three-year-old Jermaine Johnson was arrested May 18 by the US Marshals NY/NJ Fugitive Task Force, and his 23-year-old son, Safeek, was arrested June 28 in Philadelphia, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO), which also noted that he was carrying a handgun at the time of his arrest.
Both men are in custody awaiting trial. Jermaine Johnson is being held at the Camden County Jail, and Safeek Johnson is in Philadelphia pending his extradition to New Jersey.
The robbery occurred at the Fulton Bank on Haddonfield-Berlin Road just after 11 a.m. April 26, 2021. According to the CCPO, a man entered the bank armed with a handgun and retrieved a large amount of cash from the vault before leaving.
In surveillance photos, the suspect is shown wearing black and white New Balance sneakers, black pants with white stripes down the sides, a black camouflage hoodie, and a tan backpack.
