Camden City Man Charged with Aggravated Assault in Pennsauken Shooting

A Camden City man faces multiple charges related to a January 6 shooting in Pennsauken.

Pennsauken Police responded to the 4700 block of Sherwood Terrace around 4:25 p.m. January 6 to discover a 24-year-old Camden City man who had sustained a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Virtua Hospital, where he was treated and released, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).

After a detailed investigation, police arrested 23-year-old Khalil Davis of Camden City on January 18, and charged him with multiple offenses.

Davis faces two counts each of second-degree aggravated assault, two counts each of fourth-degree aggravated assault by pointing a weapon, and one count each of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

He is currently being held in the Camden County jail.

All persons charged with a crime are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
