Haddon Township, Collingswood Face Difficult Choices in Resolving School Funding Deficits

A one-time policy solution offered by the New Jersey Department of Education allows communities that lost state aid to exceed the cap on their taxes without a public vote. In Haddon Township and Collingswood, which have already made cuts, it could take double-digit increases just to maintain current staffing and service levels.
