Elderly Pedestrian Dies After Motor Vehicle Accident, Police Seek Witnesses

A 77-year-old Cherry Hill man was hit while walking along Kings Highway, and later died from those injuries. The driver remained at the scene. No charges have been filed.

A 77-year-old Cherry Hill man was struck by a vehicle while walking along North Kings Highway on Thursday night, and later died from those injuries.

Cherry Hill Police are looking into the circumstances of the accident, but say the driver remained on location, and has been cooperative with the investigation. No charges have been filed in the case.

At the time he was hit, the pedestrian was headed north near Elkins Road, escorting his wife, who was using a walker.

Cherry Hill Police ask anyone who saw the accident to contact the Traffic Unit at 856-488-7820.
