First responders from six communities extinguished a dryer fire at a Haddon Heights laundromat early Saturday morning.

Mount Ephraim Fire Chief Matt Frankowski said companies responded to a 7:40 a.m. call at America’s Always Clean laundromat in the 600 block of the Black Horse Pike in Haddon Heights.

Firefighters from the Haddon Heights-Barrington, Audubon, Bellmawr, Haddonfield, Mount Ephraim, and Runnemede fire companies had the flames under control within 30 minutes of arrival.

The speed of the responding units helped confine the incident to two stacked dryer units within the facility.

“We were able to get water on it immediately,” Frankowski said,

No injuries were reported.
