A 36-year-old Pennsauken man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting in Brooklawn that sent a 35-year-old Philadelphia man to the hospital with multiple wounds.
Michael Suarez was apprehended in Camden without incident, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
He is presently being held at the Camden County jail pending a hearing.
The victim was discovered by police just before midnight on January 19 in the Brooklawn Motel 6. He was treated at a nearby hospital.
Suarez faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, witness tampering, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and certain persons not able to possess a weapon, as well as possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent unless and until found guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
