A Pennsauken woman is in police custody after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death Thursday morning.

Yamil I. Cuevas, 23, was charged with Aggravated Manslaughter and weapons offenses in the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old Charles Blackwell.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on November 16, Pennsauken Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Herbert Avenue for a report of a man who was bleeding, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).

There, they located Blackwell, whom authorities say was suffering from an apparent stab wound.

First responders transported Blackwell to Cooper University Hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his wounds, and was pronounced dead at 12:23 p.m.

Cuevas currently is being housed at the Camden County jail pending a pretrial detention hearing.

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
