UPDATE: Cherry Hill Police Locate Missing Senior Theodore S. Shapiro


Shapiro was last seen at noon on Wednesday in the 1600 block of Longfellow Drive.

UPDATE: “Shapiro was located by the Triboro Bridge Tunnel Police in Bronx, NY,” Cherry Hill Police reported early Thursday morning.

“He was in good health and will be reunited with family,” the statement noted.


Cherry Hill Police are asking for help finding a missing 72-year-old township resident, Theodore S. Shapiro.

Shapiro is a white male, five-feet-ten-inches tall and 170 pounds with grey hair. He was last seen wearing an orange sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Shapiro was last seen around noon on Wednesday, April 29 leaving his home in the 1600 block of Longfellow Drive in a silver 1996 Corvette (NJ registration L26 EWD).

Police believe Shapiro is “possibly en route to the Talamore Country Club in Ambler, PA.”

A silver alert has been activated for Mr. Shapiro and his vehicle. Anyone who knows where he may be is asked to call the Cherry Hill Police Department: 856-665-1200.
