Collingswood to ‘Pause’ Water Tower Redevelopment Project
Mayor Jim Maley said ‘the numbers don’t work’ on the current proposal for the 1.8-acre parcel. The project would have added 155 residential units and structured parking to an area formerly occupied by the Collingswood Police and Public Works buildings. No alternative plans for the site have been discussed yet.
The brand-new garage at the intersection of Harrison and Sloan Avenues centralizes public works operations in a modern building that borough officials say will improve efficiency and the delivery of services throughout the community.
