The Editor-in-Chief for Newspaper Media Group (NMG), publishers of The Sun family of local newspapers, has been charged with possession of child pornography, according to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).

Timothy Ronaldson, 35, was arrested at his Cherry Hill home without incident, according to a statement from the CCPO, and later released.

Detectives from the CCPO High-Tech Crimes Unit allegedly “located numerous digital devices” in Ronaldson’s home, previews of which resulted in his arrest.

The devices were seized for further forensic analysis, the CCPO noted in a statement. The investigative unit included officers from Homeland Security Investigations and the Cherry Hill Police Department.

By the end of the day Tuesday, all mention of Ronaldson had been scrubbed from the NMG website. A writeup of the incident in The Cherry Hill Sun indicated that “Newspaper Media Group officials have no comment on the case at this time.”

All persons charged with crimes are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. An arrest is not a conviction.
